Technology vs. Nature? What do you think?
Soon after this website is launched, I will be getting on a plane to Nepal to co-guide a women’s transformational trek (www.fpheroinesjourney.com). I thought that in the three weeks I will be away, I could perhaps take the temperature of any visitors to my new site and ask this burning question:
Do you think it is possible to someday have a civilization that is BOTH technologically advanced with ever increasing complexity AND intimately connected to the soul of nature, to its magic and mystery?
Or, do you think that some humans will evolve on the way of technology and other humans will evolve on the path of connectedness to earth, perhaps creating two different kinds of humans and two kinds of civilizations? Or do you think we will destroy ourselves before we get around to answering this question?
This question has all kinds of implications for me—the movie Avatar seemed to ask it. I tend to hold out for the human ability to integrate extreme opposites and eventually develop the capacity to push evermore into the left-brain world of science and yet begin to explicitly sanction the existance of the sacred in the world (and I don’t mean in the religious sense).
I’m so curious to hear what anyone might have to say! Thanks for your time.

dear kinde
I belive we need to walk the line in balance as a intimately connected beeing to the soul of nature, of life, its magic and mystery as well as andvanced with complexitiy and technologically:
we have to, or we may walk this way of sacred integration as all is ever connected together. Maybe we ll be able to elaborate a soulfull way of technology we cant imagine yet?! Less material bounded eg.?!
